“ Lovely and well coordinated atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. Food was delicious! The al pastor tacos were perfect, the sauce bar sealed the deal. Lots of great candies and soda to choose from as well. ”
“ Best burrito I've had in a long time. My son got carnitas tacos and rice. I tried the rice, which was good but so spicy and I'm a wimp I had the birria burrito and was teleported to heaven it was so good. We will be back. ”
“ I get some really great Mexican food where I'm from (Los Angeles) but this place does a great job. I had the shrimp ceviche and it was nice and spicy and flavorful. Their salsas are also very tasty and have some great kick. The atmosphere is vibrant and lively, which was great for our small family group. I'd love to come back! ”
“ Great tacos for a really, really good price. The guy taking orders is awesome and the whole experience feels more authentic than some other spots around town. I’m somewhat split on whether or not I liked the fixins bar. I’m sorta used to tacos coming fully dressed, so that was a bit different. The meats are fresh and the sauces were well done and not too spicy. The clientele was a little stuffy but I guess that makes sense, given the Hayes Barton location. I’ll definitely come back for the tacos. ”
“ Stumbled in here on a Sunday a few minutes after closing time. They welcomed us in. (We are from Southern California). The carne asada and birria were top notch, better than most Mexican restaurants in California. Excellent tacos here. Highly recommend. ”
“ I’ve had the pleasure of dining at Chido Taco twice in the past two weeks, and both experiences were absolutely amazing! The first visit was for a friend's birthday celebration at the restaurant, and the second was for a catered lunch at my son's school. In both instances, the food was outstanding. For my friend's birthday, we had a party of 12. Despite the restaurant's cozy size, they accommodated us wonderfully. The staff was relaxed and allowed us to rearrange tables to fit our group comfortably. Everyone enjoyed 2 to 3 cocktails and beers, and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the drinks for such a casual taco spot. We sampled a variety of dishes, from tacos to bowls, and every single person loved their meal. The queso and guacamole were particularly fantastic—I could honestly eat them every day! The restaurant was clean, and the bathrooms were well-maintained. The manager on duty was attentive and helped ensure the space remained tidy. One of the highlights was seeing the chefs peeking out and cheering for our friend's birthday, which added a fun touch to our celebration. Overall, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the food was even better. Not only is the food top-notch, but the staff is genuinely kind and welcoming. A huge thank you to Chido Taco for generously providing lunch for the teachers and staff at my son's school; it was just as delicious as dining in the restaurant! ”
“ Mmmm these tacos are definitely “chidos”! I could eat the al pastors all day. The barbacoa was really good too. Love that they have a sauce bar! You’re telling me I don’t have to say “no onions” I do think the rice and beans need a little work but I realize they are sides. Their queso dip and chips were great. I will come back again! ”
“ We absolutely loved it all!!! The berry pineapple drank and the birria were soo delicious!!! I put some salsa, cilantro, cucumber, and squeezed some lime over the shrimp tacos and was so very thankful for the flavors that happened lmbo!! ”
